A determined, self-motivated, and extremely hardworking individual who has recently gained a degree in Biomedical Science and excels in both academic and practical laboratory skills with a 2:1 degree grade achieved. I have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. I thrive working under pressure to meet deadlines because it allows me to stay focused on my work and the task at hand.

I enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life because I worked part-time in retail. My communication and interpersonal skills have greatly improved because of the latter. Therefore, I can use these transferable skills and adhere to any set guidelines.

• Sorted stock and gained a practical understanding of the issues involved in inventory control. 
• Worked under pressure to deal accurately and efficiently with a diverse range of customers during busy weekends.
• Managed customer furniture orders and learned how to process home loans and ensure that customers are fully informed of the terms and conditions of their purchase before consenting.
• Capable of operating a till and handling large sums of money

• Able to work with NEP (non-stock ordering), Supply Chain and GHX Nexus cataloguing systems to put through purchase orders for the Hospital Trust. I am also able to work with product suppliers to change/ produce new item catalogues and product contracts whilst adhering to and maintaining strict confidentiality rules.
• Able to work with other employees of the Trust and liaise with product suppliers regarding goods that the Trust requires, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and data manipulation.
• Worked with product suppliers regarding price lists and worked to get the best price possible for the hospital trust. Using these price lists, I was able to populate masses od data in excel and return these to the correct suppliers to update the overall price catalogues for the hospital trust.

My main duties include helping with operations for the required study that is being carried out in the department; and participating in a variety of studies and contributing towards using a range of laboratory techniques and analytical procedures with minimal supervision.

I have completed an IBMS approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Sheffield Hallam University in which I had received an overall upper second class degree qualification.
