▪ During the Christmas period of 2020, I joined the entertainer as part of their part time staff for the Christmas time. This was all before we went back into lockdown.
▪ This was one of the first proper jobs I ever had, luckily enough I was greeted by some very helpful individuals who are willing to help me along the way. I was given a lot of online orders and mainly worked behind the tills.
▪ While I was there I did the following things:
▪ Helping in the back rooms, bagging and labelling online orders
▪ Mostly working behind the tills, I was fully trained in it and learnt how to handle Cash.
▪ Helping with assisting Customers on the shop floor.
▪ Learnt about Fire Safety, Health and Safety

- While working at Fenwick’s, I got a great insight into working in High End department store. I learnt a lot about the rich history of the company and working for such a well known name.
- I worked on the third floor of the store and that’s where I predominantly stayed, the third floor was the Home Department where I worked with Indoor and Outdoor furniture, a variety of kitchen appliances, home décor(From several different well known brands as well as fenwick’s own bedding and Home scents range), Different beddings and linens.
- On the home floor we also had children-wear which consisted of several different brands for all children ranging from the ages of newborn up to 15 years.
- Our home floor was also the home the Christmas decorations, Christmas trees and a variety of Christmas gifts and hampers.
- We also had a very wide variety of children’s toys for the similar ages as said before.
- This gave me a really good insight into working withchildren toys again as well as home décor, household appliances, indoor and outdoor furniture, children-wear and towels and linens.
- I spent a lot of my time working behind the tills picking up key skills, I also learnt a lot about e-receipts importance of going eco friendly.
- I learnt a lot about each section of the Home department and the importance behind each, gathering facts to help push products and recommendations when asked by the customer.
