I am an aspiring marine biologist/ecologist with a BSc in Marine Biology and MRes in Bioscience. I am proficient in scientific writing and data analysis using software such as R, QGIS, Excel and BORIS. I have participated in both UK and tropical fieldwork, using seine and fyke net, conducting sea bird and marine mammal surveys, and cockle stock assessments.
My most recent project titled “Changes in community structure and dominance triggered by temporal and abiotic differences in saline lagoons” was a 9 month research project where I planned and conducted my own research. During this I had to obtain ethical approval, produce extensive risk assessments and train interns assisting with field work.
I have also volunteered with Operation Wallacea and assisted with saltmarsh studies investigating fin fish production. I am an organised and enthusiastic individual keen to start a career in environmental conservation and learn new skills.
I have worked as a part time lifeguard for six years, also worked as a kitchen porter, and learning demonstrator for my University.
