Front of House Staff (Café) - Café (Snap Tin)

I take on a varied role focusing on ensuring the café runs efficiently and every visitor receives a positive experience. I prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold drinks from coffees to homemade lemonades, ice cream, and operate the bar during conference events, while maintaining strict hygiene standards throughout my workspace. I also assist in the kitchen with food preparation and cooking, following all food safety regulations at all times.
I am trusted to manage the Snap Tin, a smaller standalone café area, running it fully independently from the main site as required. Alongside daily service, I help prepare and serve afternoon teas to a high standard and support private bookings and events by setting up areas and ensuring refreshments are available throughout. I operate the till accurately, process payments, and complete end-of-shift duties including cashing up, restocking, and leaving all areas clean, tidy and secure.

My role at Cheung's Authentic Chinese Cuisine involved looking after customers and ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I processed orders quickly and accurately, keeping well organised and focused even when the restaurant got very busy. I worked closely with kitchen staff to share all necessary details, such as allergy warnings, dietary requirements and special requests to ensure every dish was prepared safely and correctly.
I answered any questions customers had and handled concerns in a calm, friendly way to make sure they were happy with their meal. I also managed cash and card payments, ran the till system, and helped to complete end-of-day cashing up.
