I am a highly motivated graduate who recently graduated with a degree in Biochemistry at UEA. I have demonstrated high levels of determination, motivation and hard work while juggling the demands of studying for my degree and working throughout university, while keeping up with interests such as rugby, volleyball, reading and cooking. While at university, I have experience working in marketing and communication as well as hospitality and retail, delivering high levels of customer service under pressure, working as part of a team and ensuring important projects are completed on time.

May 2023 to July 2025– Bar staff key skills developed included customer service, working under pressure and attention to detail and presentation. Part of my job also included dealing with customers that were difficult/under the influence of alcohol. This required patience, calmness, and expert communication skills.

Full-time summer position over 2 years. By working for the Royal Collection Trust, I was in extension, representing the Royal Household and therefore had to meet and exceed the high standards required. This meant that I had to always make sure I was presentable, polite, and courteous, welcoming, and approachable. My invitation to return and work for a second summer and multiple successful progress reports indicate my reliability and work ethic.
Making high value sales where you had to be extremely proactive and approach customers as well as having a high degree of product knowledge.
Overseeing the replenishment for a zone meant it was my job to make sure the whole shop was visually pleasing and fully stocked. This role meant you had to be highly adaptable, have a high degree of product knowledge and have a high level of communication skills with colleagues to ensure the shop ran smoothly while also making sure the customers felt valued and comfortable.
Working on the tills, making sure that customer transactions were quick and efficient while engaging with the customer. In this part of the role, I had to be charismatic, talkative, and work under pressure.

Initially volunteered as a Young Leader for 3 years, during the summer holidays. Before becoming an RYA Assistant Instructor (2019), helping to run sailing courses for children. I also volunteered at weekends at ‘Challenger Club,’ which was a club that catered for disabled sailors and kayakers. During this time, I developed good teamwork skills, communication, and organisational skills.
University of East Anglia – Sept 2022 –July 2025
My overall grade for my degree was a 2:2, however I achieved a 2:1 for my dissertation (research project). The dissertation was a comprehensive business plan for the development of a mobile laboratory service, that monitored vitamin A & E deficiency in at risk populations. Some modules completed as part my degree included cancer biology, molecular enzymology in biology, cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry.
