Amir Akhavan

I work as a freelance documentary filmmaker and photographer. I create social and documentary films that aim to raise awareness and connect people through shared stories. I also have experience as an assistant director and have worked on various film and advertising projects, including photography for promotions and portraits.

am a documentary filmmaker and social photographer with over 10 years of experience in the arts, including directing, producing, and capturing compelling narratives. My work focuses on social issues and human stories, having made short documentaries like Bouquet of Rain and Az Posht-e Shisheha, which have been screened and nominated at international festivals. I am passionate about using visual storytelling to create empathy and understanding.

Additionally, I have experience in advertising photography and have received recognition for my work in social photography.

I hold a Master's degree in Documentary Filmmaking from the University of Salford, UK, where I gained in-depth knowledge and practical skills in storytelling, cinematography, and editing. Additionally, I have a photography certification from Karnameh Institute in Tehran, where I developed a strong foundation in visual arts and social photography. My education has been complemented by hands-on experience in theatre and filmmaking over the past 10 years.
