A KYC/AML analyst with Compliance experience within the financial industry (traditional and FINTECH Banking).
Experience in reviewing and documenting investigations, conflicts management with a specific focus on sanctions, PEPs, and high-risk customers and customer complaint handling. Experienced financial crime and AML SME across a wide spectrum of customer/client portfolios (retail, corporate, private banking, correspondent banking) Good understanding of compliance sanctions. Strong decision-making skills.
Extensive experience in compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) monitoring and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, completing Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and sanctions reviews and carrying out alert and transaction monitoring. Strong AML/OFAC compliance, banking, and/or financial services experience. Understanding of the UK regulatory environment with regard to financial crime prevention (FCA, UK Money Laundering Regulations, UK Bribery Act, FATF, JMLSG Guidelines).
Ability to work well with stakeholders at various levels, to support and develop Sanctions controls. Previous experience in conducting enhanced CDD/KYC/EDD on a range of clients. Knowledge of the UK Money Laundering Regulations 2007, JMLSG Guidelines, MiFID, applicable FCA rules and sanction regimes.
Strong understanding of the regulatory changes introduced by MIFID II, CFTC/Dodd Frank act relating to the introduction of SEF's (Swap Execution facilities) and upcoming regulatory changes. Excellent knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Experience with tools such as TARIC, H.S Tracker, Corridor Checkers NT, PelicanOFAC, Norkom, RDC, Dow Jones, Lexis Nexis, Refinitiv, Safe watch, Confluence, Jira, Maritime Traffic, World Check, CreditSafe, Orbis etc
