I have been a national professional DJ since I was 18, I took a break at the age of 25 as I wanted to go to London and do a degree.
I achieved my degree in Sociology and Criminology, and stayed in London for two years after as I had become a supervisor at the fine Dining restaurant at the Royal Albert Hall.
When I returned I was at Halfords for two years as a Systems Analyst, then have done many jobs since, mainly customer service focused.
I chose my degree as I wanted to go into Probation, Housing, Support working for people leaving care or prison, admin in a prison situation or support work.
I have fallen into being a carer as the DJ work dried up during covid, have found that I am good at it and enjoy the work, but being a Teaching Assistant ticked all the boxes.
