I have worked within the film and entertainment industry for the past decade and for six years I was the creator, director and owner of Screen 22 Cinema in Nottingham. I sold the business in 2017.
Most recently I worked at Nottingham College in the Marketing Team as a Content Officer as part of a small sub-team promoting HE, FE and adult learning and recruitment.
I am an entrepreneur at heart who is also a national Ambassador for The Princes Trust and over the past few years I have volunteered my time and skills to the Nottingham Hackspace Community, Nottingham Roller Derby league and more recently I've been a features and culture writer for The Beestonian community magazine.
By trade, I am a freelance writer, editor, interviewer, content creator, feature & copywriter. I also enjoy nurturing new talent, especially start-up projects and companies.
I review theatre shows for national company, Fairy Powered Productions and I'm the Entertainments Editor for The Beestonian magazine.
I read an LLB in Law and graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 2.2 Hons degree.
I recently returned to university and studied my CIM qualifications and gained a distinction.
I served for Student Council and attended and spoke at NUS Conference on two occasions. worked for Wel-Cam (Welfare Campaigns) contributed to student media Ran a films show on Fly FM, Script wrote on occasion for Trent TV and wasa sub editor for film for Platform Magazine.
In my final year at NTU was elected as Editor in chief of Platform Magazine, ran a fortnightly printed magazine, with over 150 contributors and wrote the Film and Entertainment section.
