I'm Amy Wang, and I'm looking for a Financial Analyst role. I have eight years of experience working with UK government departments at the British Embassy in China. I started as a Visa Officer, where I led a team of 30 and boosted output by 15%.
Later, I moved into a Clean Energy Policy Officer role at HMG BEIS-FCDO, which sparked my interest in financial services. I then became a Senior Trade & Investment Officer at the UK Department for International Trade, focusing on fintech, banking, and professional services.
Managing investment deals made me want to dive deeper into investment banking, so I completed a Master's in Investment Banking at Queen Mary University of London in 2024, specializing in M&A, financial modeling, and corporate finance. I also earned the Qualifications of a Securities Practitioner. I'm excited to apply my analytical skills, project management experience, and passion for finance to a new role!
I have over eight years of experience across trade, finance, and clean energy sectors. Most recently, I worked as a Senior Trade & Investment Officer at the UK Department for International Trade, where I specialized in fintech, banking, and professional services, managing stakeholder relations and fintech networks while facilitating £10 million in UK exports to China annually. Prior to that, I held roles in clean energy policy and immigration services at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the UK Home Office.
I’m skilled in financial modeling, project management, and data analysis, with an academic background in Investment Banking (MSc), and experience leading financial analysis projects such as M&A, IPOs, and valuations.
