As a dedicated professional with over 34 years of experience in the structural steel industry, I have developed extensive expertise in fabrication, welding, project management, and operations leadership. Starting my career at 15 in my family’s business, i fully completed my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Fabrication & Welding and Engineering Processes. I then took over as owner in 2006 and successfully managed complex projects up to Execution Class 4.
Which we gained Certification for with the SCCS and BCSA. My work has included fabrication packages for the all the major companies, for projects all over the world with various different types of fabrication and welding.
Managing steel packages from start to finish, from drawing, material procurement to coatings and treatments, for projects that where mainly Execution Class 3 or Class 4 Nuclear projects. Working to EN 1090, ISO 9001, BS 5950, BS EN ISO 5817, CE MARKING CERTIFIED TO EXC 4, I Personally hold Inspection Certification and also as a Responsible Welding Coordinator up to EXC 2 from the BCSA. Implemented rigorous fabrication checks including dimensional verification, weld acceptance criteria to BS EN ISO 5817, and full project documentation and traceability, including materials and consumables.
Throughout my career, I have built a reputation for strong client relationships, problem-solving and acting on changes to client contract details when required, swiftly and amicably and still deliver with high-quality results. I bring with me a wide range of skills, not only the management side from estimating, winning contracts and production planning, but also I am a highly skilled Steel Fabricator & Welder, I was always on the shop floor with the workforce, helping with production of the contracts, to make sure all jobs got done on time and correctly and lead by example working on the tools. Keeping a close eye on safety, staffing, production dates and quality control.
With my family deciding to sell the business in December 2024, I am seeking a fresh challenge. I am confident that my dedication, technical knowledge, and hands-on leadership would make me a valuable asset to your team.
