Site Supervisor - Kier - Sewage Treatment Works, Southam, Warwickshire

(2025-02)

Working alongside the management team to deliver a Storm Overflow tank and various associated civils on a tight schedule which involved working with the Subcontractors to deliver this project under challenging weather conditions.

• Delivered daily briefs, toolbox talks and worked closely with the site manager to ensure progress was delivered smoothly and safely
• Delivered regular audits on the Subcontractors to ensure they were working to strict guidelines whilst being regularly audited by both Kier and Severn Trent Water teams
• Maintained good record keeping and relationships with the site team

General foreman - Galliford Try

As part of the management team, worked to manage subcontract labour on site to achieve delivery of the project and maintain good site practices and implement a positive and safe working culture.

• Ensured good progress and developed working relationships with local environmental charities such as Community wood recycling as well as local landowners and residents

Earthworks supervisor - EKFB - HS2 T2G section

• Worked alongside the engineering team to ensure their instruction was carried out by all plant and site personnel
• Ensured all works were carried out to the permit system implemented by EKFB

Site supervisor - Balfour Beatty Vinci - HS2 Delta junction, Coleshill

(2021-02 - 2022-10)

Successfully completed several projects for the Earthworks Division where I was responsible for putting heavy plant safely to work whilst implementing BBV rigorous safety practices.

• Worked around high pressure gas mains and live high voltage power lines
• Worked with the ecology team to maintain high standards in environmental practices

Subcontractor - L&C Groundworks - Worcestershire and Warwickshire

(2020-03 - 2021-02)

Worked on a variety of projects undertaking groundworks on various Severn Trent sites throughout Worcestershire and Warwickshire. This required following stringent Health and safety guidelines as these sites were live and in use.

• Operated various plant such as excavators and dumpers
• Responsible for logging daily plant checks

Groundworks operative - M Lambe Construction - Leamington Spa

(2019-02 - 2020-01)

Working on a housing project with Miller Homes being the main contractor, installed all the groundworks including the road and sewers, internal and external drainage, oversites and footings to this project which consisted of 125 new build properties.

• Responsible for any muck shifts and all finishings to all new houses
• Operated a range of excavators including 3t, 8t and 14 tonne
• Operated forward tipping dumpers and rollers

Plant operative - Healy Civil Engineering - Midlands

(2011-09 - 2018-12)

Undertook training for both rear and forward tipping dumpers and excavators. Gained valuable experience in operating a range of plant and equipment. Worked on housing sites throughout the midlands for various contractors such as Bellway, Lovell, Bloor's and others where responsible for all groundworks including roads and sewers, oversites, internal and external drainage.
