Occupational Health Technician - Optima Health

Working solo, or as part of a team, I deliver safety critical medicals and promote wellbeing initiatives to a portfolio of national clients. I undertake agreed clinical activities including taking blood pressures, height and weight, MSK assessments, Audiometry, Spirometry, skin assessments, vision assessments, drug and alcohol screening and health surveillance. I am accountable for delivery, recording and reporting health surveillance and escalating results of concern to a specialist clinician.
I am also responsible for cleaning and stock checking clinical areas, help maintain clinical supplies and ensure that all clinical rooms are suitably maintained daily for the clinics to be conducted.

World Travelling (Gap Year) - Self

After saving some money, I was fortunate enough to be able to take a Gap year and travel the world. I went to Canada, USA, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, and South-East Asia. Whilst in Canada I taught some exercise classes at a gym in Vancouver, and I also worked as a farm hand in a remote Canadian town. I managed to see the 'Northern Lights' in Alaska, travelled around New Zealand and Australia in a campervan, before finishing my trip travelling around Thailand.
