Implementation of IT systems, governance, Policy, framework and guidance necessary to comply with the introduction of AI benefit realisation and the regulations of the EU Artificial Intelligence (AI) Act.
Project Brief: To manage the implementation and benefits realisation of the necessary policies, IT systems, governance and framework of the highest risk profile projects in IT, (potential fines of 7% global turnover for non-compliance / breach). Adopting the risk based profile approach stipulated in the act the project was spilt into two epics, readiness and implementation.
- Delivered the necessary outcomes to enable compliance with the requirements of the EU AI Act including AI Literacy within the workforce
- Prohibited systems under the risk definition model
- OneTrust AI module to assess the risk category of planned applications in accordance with the definition contained within the Act
- Worked with the Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Technical Officer, Enterprise Architect and Chief Information Officer to develop the implementation plan and strategy
- Development of the overall AI strategy alongside the Data Strategy
- Formulation of the TOM for AI Applications
- Managed the delivery of the AI Gap Analysis with external tier one consultants
- Translated the gap analysis into project workstreams, plans and deliverables
- Produced resource requirements from workstreams and deliverables with associated costings
- Managed extremely difficult stakeholders with differing objectives, opinions and responsibilities

- Creation of an AI Citizen Ideas Portal using Microsoft Power Apps, providing a controlled entry point for colleagues to submit initial AI ideas
- Development of an AI Ideas SharePoint site to support the second-stage assessment of ideas once agreed criteria were met, including business case, tangible and intangible benefits, solution overview and technology considerations
- Creation of a Power BI dashboard for C-suite and senior stakeholders, providing visibility of the AI pipeline, opportunity status and potential business value
- Development of an AI Use Case Asset Library in SharePoint, using Power Automate to move approved data from the AI Ideas site when defined trigger criteria were met
- Creation of a Power BI benefit realisation dashboard showing forecast benefits over time, tangible versus intangible value, ROI, KPIs and AI maturity levels
- Use of Power Automate to support cadence reviews across risk, benefits, change, compliance and governance activity

Project Brief: To manage the implementation of the necessary IT systems, governance and compliance to comply with the provisions of the EU Data Act which came into force on the 12th September 2025.
- Successfully managed an extensive group of top tier, cross functional stakeholders, managing expectations, conflicts and perceptions, including CIO, CISO, Head of Strategy, Lead Counsel, Data Protection Officer, Head of Group Audit, Members of the board
- Managed 5 separate Work Packages each with first line leaders including WP00 Programme Management and Governance, WP01 Legal, Compliance and Jurisdiction, WP02 Data – Systems and procedures, WP03 Sales and Marketing, WP04 Technical Capability and Systems
- Delivered the provision of the required data for the legislated three use cases: Business to Customer B2C, Business to Third Parties B2T, Business to Government B2G (Natural disasters as an example)
- Delivered to scope, time, budget and quality
- Successful go live on 12th September with no outstanding issues or bugs

Implementation of the new Master Data Management Application.
Project Brief: Replace the legacy PIM (Product Information System) Informatica, with a new Syndigo application. This will facilitate the rapid creation of new articles (Products) to reduce the time to market, and enable Halfords to leverage the data that will be stored to increase sales. Now we have completed the product transformation to Syndigo, the next data sets that will be included are customer information and vehicle information. Allowing for the tracking of this information, such as MOT's, tyre replacements and servicing. After four previous managers failed to deliver, I was asked to take over the PM role.
- Data Dictionary completed and agreed
- Managed existing team both on-shore, near-shore and off-shore to construct a collaborative unit
- Managed strong and independent stakeholders to a successful project conclusion, including competing stakeholders
- Facilitated and led all necessary workshops
- Managed the transformation project to a successful go live on the 22nd April
- The golden record for products or articles has now been established as the single source of truth
- The team are now working on the rapid ability to deal with article creation
- Savings estimated at £108,000 per new range created (Range X), previously that amount of temporary staff were needed to create a new range of articles

On premises (DXC) migration to Microsoft Azure. Project Brief: Manage the migration of 78 Tier 1 business application from an on-prem data centre solution to Microsoft Azure. Project delivered from Discovery phase through to Deploy and closure.
- Applications included SAP, I-serve, Space Planner, Cannon, and 74 others
- Managed a disparate team of both on-shore and off-shore teams in multiple time zones
- Migration achieved through both lift and shift and re-platforming
- Managed the changed interfaces between Azure and 450 plus remote store and 500 garages
- Managed RAID log, Business Requirement, User Journeys, LLD and HLD, Monday.com, Finance Tracking, Project Initiation Document (PID), Detailed Business Case, Capital Approval by Investment Committee, Service Acceptance Criteria and Service Operating Model
