Warehouse Operative at DHL Jaguar/Landrover (2013-03 – Present)

On a daily basis, took full responsibility for having an understanding of and following the company's Health and safety procedure, environmental practises and standard operating procedures. In an extremely fast paced, evolving workplace, worked with managers to give them live feedback regarding continuously changing customer needs, allowing them to reallocate labour to hit daily service level agreements. Was selected from a team of 21 operatives by management to be trained and act as a 'Performance Coach' for the whole team.

This involved working closely with my manager to coach, support and mentor the team, with responsibility for overseeing individual and team improvements in performance.

• Supported management by keeping daily 'performance dialogue' boards up to date with information such as, Manning and PPE trackers, safety calendar and daily briefing points.
• Consistently hit daily KPI's through diligently responding to JLR's cell operators button presses to ensure they received all parts needed within the 35 minute time frame and kept the main lines running continuously.
• Received DHL's gold coin as employee of the month in recognition of a positive attitude during involvement in various community projects.
• Implemented a system of buttons that operatives could use to generate work codes for themselves. This reduced the managements need to generate these, saving time, increasing efficiency and grow work flow by 5%.

Warehouse Operative at DHL NHS supply chain (2008 – 2013)

• Using a LLOP, picked 33 + lines per hour to ensure my daily KPI's were met or exceeded and Shift targets were achieved.
• Made sure that all stock was accurately picked and packed to reduce space and transport costs (with any shortages flagged).
• Worked with management within the customer Demand Transfer department, which had a £1000 overspend per week. Supported a manual process to allow the monitoring of parcel quantities, (a function the IT system could not perform) which led to a saving by the team of £1,200 - £1,300 per week.
