Multi method EN4179 Level 2 and Level 3, certified in MT, PT, ET. Previously certified for RT (Film and CR) and UT.
Extensive experience in the UK military air environment working predominantly on rotary wing assets but also fixed wing on request.
Worked within the MOD as the Deputy Head of NDT prior to a move to AWE as the Responsible Level 3.
At AWE I was tasked with introducing a new NDT organisation in-line with industry standards. Within 18 months, I had generated the following documents to raise the bar in standards across the company and start to bring a consistent approach to NDT training and capabilities.
MT, PT, RT (Film, CR), ET Method Control Procedures.
I have also introduced new NDT work instructions for NDT operatives to follow at component level.
I have also organised external training providers to come on site at AWE to provide Level 2 / 3 training helping to reduce costs to the Company.
In addition to the work load, I was also instrumental in directing multiple projects with regards new or current NDT inspections.
22 years service with the Royal Navy - Fleet Air Airm, 8 years of which NDT reaching certified Level 3 UT, RT, ET, PT, MT.
Radiation protection professional with NDT Maincal working towards RPA accreditation.
2 years service with the MOD as a Level 3 (MT, ET, PT).
