As a Maintenance Lead, played a pivotal role in the production line team. Worked as a Maintenance Engineer for an area and part of a leadership team of 3 (Process Lead, Maintenance Lead and Line Lead). Responsible for overseeing and delivering defined engineering processes within area, primarily designed to reduce machine stoppages and ensure the correct level of asset care and maintenance strategy is deployed to each equipment item.
Led and coached the entire area team to deliver true Autonomous Maintenance. As part of the leadership team, reviewed losses within the area, developed action plans and delivered sustained improvement results. Provided crucial resource to ensure correct level of engineering capability was achieved within the team to progress zero loss journey.
Played a key role in delivery of improvement initiatives along with larger capital projects for area. An excellent coach and motivator with significant, demonstrable experience in this area.
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling DMs (Daily Maintenance) for the lines
- Review of all breakdowns and deploy the appropriate countermeasure to prevent reoccurrence.

- Provide updates during DDS (Daily Direction Setting meeting) to review breakdowns and Maintenance plans from the last 24hrs

Responsible for the planning and maintenance of the Metrocar fleet ensuring that it is made available in a safe, clean and reliable condition for the operation of the Metro Concession. Ensured that all maintenance carried out complies with those elements of health, safety and environmental legislation that relate to Metro Engineering and all associated company standards.
- Managing the train lease and Nexus infrastructure vehicle contract.
- Management of Key internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for the Maintenance and Capital Maintenance (Asset Renewal Programme) budget.
- Responsible for implementing the maintenance plan at depot level.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all depot plant including wheel lathe, jacks, overhead crane, etc.
- Ensure the completeness of all records and maintenance carried out on vehicles and components i.e. vehicle examination documentation, equipment change sheets, etc.
- Ensure Metrocars and other rolling stock (Battery Locomotives, Wagons, etc) is maintained to current standards. This includes scheduling and control of planned and unplanned maintenance taken from Maximo (electronic maintenance database and asset register).
- Establish and review performance standards and ensuring that these standards are consistently achieved in line with the Quality Management System in order to maintain ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
- Ensure that Maintenance operations are conducted in accordance with national and European legislation and standards. Ensure that necessary means to manage, measure and review safety performance by all staff and instituted across the Maintenance Department using modern maintenance practices and processes.
- Establish and review Environmental Management System (EMS) practices to ensure depot compliance with waste management systems, energy consumption, etc.
- Emergency Standby/call out duties - all aspects of fleet engineering failures and rolling stock derailments.
- Assist in managing the interface between Metro and Network rail with regard to standards of fleet.
- Attend and represent Fleet at Joint Performance and Train Fleet Meetings with Nexus.
