MSc TESOL candidate at the University of Edinburgh with experience in English language education, qualitative research, learning design and applied evaluation. My current dissertation uses semi-structured interviews and NVivo-supported thematic analysis to examine assessment-related teacher decision-making in Chinese EFL contexts. I also have experience with educational data analysis, formative assessment design and AI evaluation.
I am particularly interested in English language assessment, validity, fairness and evidence-based improvement of learning and assessment products.

Recent work includes analysing 100+ IELTS academic writing samples to identify recurring language and structural issues; tracking learning performance across 85 primary learners; designing a CEFR A2–B1 online English course with formative assessment; and conducting AI evaluation using human annotation, reliability testing and error analysis.
