I have been self employed for most of my working life within the building sector and associated trades, since leaving school at 16 so this is some 40 years plus. I went to night college whilst working full time to gain required qualifications in City and Guilds ,and have maintained good physical fitness required to complete duties the work involves.
I am able to work toward deadlines, comply with health and safety regulations and have kept my CSCS card up to date.
Whilst living in the south of Essex I also completed the ‘knowledge ’ of London to qualify as a Black cab driver in London City . The role required good customer services, communication skills and dealing with many different people from all walks of life. I undertook DBS checks , have continued to maintain a full clean driving licence for both automatic and manual cars. As I moved location I gave up my cab licence.
I am passionate about motor bikes and gained my bike licence at the age of 17.
I have attention to detail due to working toward building specifications in both large and small building projects.
I am keen to explore other roles and interested in working in a varied job , with people which the hospital porter opportunity provides and am keen to hear about other vacancies.
I have worked in the building trade for over 40 years on a self employed basis working for different contractors.
I have a City and Guilds in Brickwork, gained at night college (Barking Technical college)..
I have a current CSCS card.
I have a full clean driving licence.
