About

With a multifaceted background in the leadership of multinational software delivery teams, modern delivery processes, team management, quality assurance and client relationship management in the financial services sector, I bring a comprehensive skill set and a proven track record of driving successful and complex IT projects with capable and effective teams.

Experience

  • Experienced senior leader with repeated success in leading teams to deliver end-to-end financial services solutions to top challenger banks and building societies
  • Delivered front line and back office banking systems, with data migration, enabling them to increase revenue two or three-fold, improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Part of the senior management team that successfully completed the strategic and cultural move to offer Cloud based SaaS solutions via Agile delivery, whilst improving team capability through recruitment and training
  • Company-wide ownership of Quality Assurance strategy, process transformation and teams, with customers reporting a significant improvement in this area in the past 12 months, through NPS
  • Integrated new software development lifecycle methodologies (TDD & BDD) to reduce risk and improve certainty with 70% of project deliveries feeling the benefits of this in their first cycle
  • Instrumental to the success of the new Cloud hosting services and SaaS offering adoption by new and existing customers, leading to over £10m in new sales
  • Problem solver with two high revenue customer relationships recovered in the past two years, both signing new five year contracts
  • Internal and external exec engagement and reporting, considered by customer execs to be approachable, honest and collaborative
  • Strong and effective budget, risk, issue and resource management skills resulting in teams effectively managing their projects with majority completing within a 10% timeframe and cost tolerance
  • Departmental recruitment, budget and revenue responsibility
  • Leadership and mentoring of a department of 90+ individuals
  • Strong focus on learning and development within teams to ensure skills available prior to skills demand becoming a bottleneck; proactive skills management with targets for skills level hit 3 months ahead of schedule in 2023
  • Third party engagement leadership with constant focus on cost and the tangible benefits, with third parties now able to deliver less complex projects independently, reducing overhead and increasing licence revenue
