Anthony Saabwe

I am a highly organized and self-driven individual, passionate about developing my career in the field of accounting as a corporate accountant having worked at different levels through my career and also having exercised some skills of leadership in under my team at work. My commitment can be gauged from the fact that I am a credited holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with Accounts as a specialization from Ndejje University also where am pursuing my Master’s degree in Business administration majoring in accounting.

Possessing more than 9 years of experience of working in diverse financial and accounts positions with different organizations were I have gained an extensive insight within this field. My key accounting and financial competences include Budgetary control, payroll related issues, internal audit, book keeping and accounts balancing, but not limited to maintaining financial records, managing budgets, risk assessment and business strategy reviews. In my current position as a finance assistant at the United Nations Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE) were am part of the team running payroll for field staff member both local and for military and facilitate administrative and financial support relating to all operations for mission in Africa, this has helped me grow in my field of professionalism and gained experience with exposure to more challenging situations which I have been able to see as challenges and overcame.

I have good communication skills, with excellent organizational, decision making, and time management skills and have a proven track record of consistently meeting and regularly surpassing demanding performance goals. Being Proactive, innovative and highly influential, it is why am seeking a challenging but rewarding position, which is why I was naturally drawn to this exciting opportunity in this organization.

I have more than 9 years of progressively professional experience in accounts, finance, budget, HR advisory and administration functions with, February 2014 to present as finance assistant, United Nations regional service center in Entebbe, 17/02/2014 -30/11/2016 as an accounts assitant at Ndejje University (retained student), April 2009 to November 2011 as accountants assistant with Uganda Virus research Institute, March 2009 to November 2013 volunteered to serve as internal auditor and finance cantroller for one youth club on specific programme.

I have both a Bachelors and a masters degree in Business Administration majoring in naccounts and finance. I also have a certificate with CIPFA (Certified Institute of Public Finance and Accounting).
