For the past few years, I have enjoyed working as a store team member in multiple retail shops, such as my 2 year voluntary position at the British Heart Foundation & my brief holiday store team member position at Home Bargains. In both locations, I learned many skills, such as till handling & management, maintaining a fresh & well supplied stock, both on the shop area & in the storage area, all while being able to work in large areas & at very fast & efficient pace.
During my two year voluntary position at the British Heart Foundation, I both gained & improved upon several skills. Skills that include gaining more confidence in socially interacting with the customer & with the other shop employees, coordination with other employees & better capability in taking the initiative with performing tasks both when possible & needed. The several skills I had gained include till handling, maintaining efficient stock both on the shop floor & the downstairs working area, & working overtime when needed. While working there, I was always friendly to the customers, & would help them with any queries they had about certain shop items.
