Aishwarya Pillai, a Council of Architecture, India registered architect who has a Masters in Architectural Design from the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, UK. Currently working as an Architectural Research Assistant For (LE-DR) Research Lab Cardiff Univeristy. Holds work experience of one and a half years and counting in the architecture sector and has successfully delivered varied projects ranging from residential design, commercial design, community-centred projects and exhibition design.
Significant training as a design researcher who possesses skills including advanced academic writing in Social Design, Post Occupancy Evaluation of Buildings, Passive Architectural Design and Architectural Critical Writing. These skills were recognized by the Post Graduate Taught Committee who awarded Master’s level distinction. Holds an excellent academic track record evidenced by being ranked 2nd among 83 students for under-graduate studies and having graduated with a distinction in Post Graduate Taught/Master’s degree.
In addition, her Master’s thesis, titled, ‘Invisible borders’, which focused on inclusive components in architecture in the community primarily to enhance social access of immigrant women was awarded the highest grade.
Extensive overseas experience as in intern architect with NGOs and sustainable architectural firms like Habitat Technology Group. Led and facilitated workload (projects such as commercial design, residential design and community-centred architectural projects) for the core design team and successfully completed work within tight deadlines. Highly proficient with AutoCAD, Revit ,Adobe Suit, Microsoft suit, SketchUp,, Rhino, Grasshopper , Climate Consultant, Enscape,D5 Render and Lumion.
