I'm a data science and AI enthusiast who loves building machine learning/deep learning models along with interesting data visualizations. I recently developed a multimodal neural network in the AiCore Bootcamp using Pytorch that predicts the category of products based on image and text data input into the model. In addition, I built a timetabling algorithm for my master's dissertation project using GANs to automate a manual scheduling process of a university academic department.
Lastly, in a project with the Warwick Data Science Society, I used Python and Plotly to visualize the UK demographic data and political segmentations with interactive heatmaps and clustering diagrams. I'd be very interested and happy to combine my current data science and programming skills to continue learning about state-of-the-art technologies and building AI tools and products for people.
I completed my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics (BSc) at Warwick which developed me in many ways, such as augmenting my communication, problem-solving, and programming skills. Additionally, I obtained my master’s degree at WMG in e-business Management (Digital & Data Science) with Distinction. In my master's degree, I explored and researched several digital technologies which could be applied to solve various business problems and how these tools can be implemented, for example, Digital Marketing (SEO, email marketing, etc.) Cloud, Big data, e-commerce (SaaS, headless), Machine learning, Data Analysis, etc.
Furthermore, I completed numerous team projects with tight deadlines, such as building an e-commerce grocery website within a three-day period using WordPress or for example, writing a realistic digital marketing campaign to advertise for a scented candle business.
I am passionate and curious regarding how Data Science, Machine learning, and Artificial Intelligence can create a significant impact to benefit society, such as in healthcare (disease prediction), transport, or preventing environmental disasters. Moreover, my dissertation project with my supervisor Dr.
Mortenson focused on employing machine learning (particularly Generative Adversarial Networks) in timetabling, particularly helping an academic department at a university enhance its speed and efficiency when producing yearly academic performance timetables. I have recently worked to publish a blog post on the Warwick Data Science Society's webpage, where I worked on a political clustering project, exploring various clustering algorithms and their efficacy in segmenting the UK political landscape. Lastly, having enrolled in the AiCore Specialist Programme, I explored and completed industry-standard data science/ML-engineering projects where my specialism project included combining text and image neural network models trained using transfer learning to build a product recommendation ranking system similar to Facebook Marketplace and created an API to encapsulate the models using FastAPI.
Thus, I am in search of an entry-level or graduate data science or machine learning engineering job to expand and acquire new and in-demand skills in this fascinating field. I have a UK postgraduate work visa and can work in the UK full-time till 2024.
