With previous experience within a fast-paced kitchen environment, I have demonstrated my ability to remain calm whilst working efficiently under pressure. I recognise the importance of clear communication within the kitchen and consider myself to be an effective team player who can confidently liaise with other team members. Equally capable of using initiative and working independently, I consistently ensure that all food that leaves the kitchen meets the high standards of presentation required and pride myself in the work that I undertake.

Volunteer Kitchen Assistant at Emmaus, Bungay (2025-04 – Present)

In the kitchen at Emmaus I assist in serving customers, taking temperatures of the fridges, baking cakes from recipes, preparing food to standard and cleaning down. I must remain organised to get tickets out in a timely fashion and all together as one order, doing multiple tickets at any one time is normal during our busy periods. I ensure the workspace is clean and tidy before, during and after service to keep in alignment with food safety standards.

As and when required, I also provide front of house cover within the Café.

Care Assistant at Highfield Care Home (2016 – 2018)

At Highfield I was responsible for the wellbeing of 40 residents, some with challenging behaviours such as dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. The role included personal care, companionship, dietary requirements and light household duties. Every interaction with the clients had to be documents in care plans so that the team going in after knew what had gone on throughout the day.

We had to operate with dignity and care while serving our residents, working in a person-centred manner so that everyone got the best possible care for them.

Assembly Operative at Glazing Vision (2015 – 2016)

At Glazing vision, I was responsible for following engineering drawings to assemble roof lighting units. This included glazing the units, ensuring the glass was correctly fitted and sealed. I got some experience on the manual mill, machining components to the spec of their drawing for the units.

Maintenance Operative at Spectra Packaging (2013 – 2015)

At spectra packaging I was responsible for scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the machines within the factory. I learnt from the engineers at spectra, to perform maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, changing of the tools and to operate the machinery. I started with the basics, learning how to dot punch, saw, set drill speeds, grease the machines, tap and dye threads, I then assisted the engineers with more complicated tasks while always ensuring our house was in order, maintaining a clean work environment.
