My role as a clinical health care technician, involved me welcoming and settling patients onto the pre-operative ward, reducing anxieties, and explaining their treatment before their surgery. Checking patient's allergies, medications, overall capacity, and ensuring that patients can follow their aftercare healing program and helping them put measures in place, to ensure they have organised support if needed. Example - District nurse teams.

Within this establishment, my role as a residential support worker entailed, me supporting individuals with a wide range of disabilities, reach their full potential in an environment that is suitable for them, as well as supporting their overall well-being and development. I worked with challenging behaviour students and built a positive reputation reflecting my de-escalation techniques and therapeutic strategies, leading to successfully supporting students to self-regulate, using person centred techniques, adapted carefully to support their needs. I'm fully trained in medication and completed medication rounds within the residential home.
