I have recently completed my PhD in Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering. I am keen to develop my skills in physics and data science to pursue a career in life science and research. I believe life is for learning, and have always strived to better myself and teach others. My studies have given me insight in the field of medical imaging which I aim to apply in the field of health care and medical devices. I am an avid artist and love to do yoga and boxing in my spare time.
I am experienced in developing medical devices and have worked with start-up companies to realise novel technologies from first principles. I have worked with dynamic teams of research scientists and engineers, taking on many roles within small, dedicated, teams. I have independently designed and led experiments, as a research scientist. I have worked with suppliers, designers and technicians to implement projects across multiple teams. I have extensive experience in teaching and mentoring.
During my PhD I played a key role in developing the world's first clinical SPECT-MRI brain scanner, INSERT project. I led research in experimental design and development of image analysis software. Proficient in experimental research, scientific reporting, and data science techniques. My research has applied data modelling, statistical analysis, and machine learning to analyse novel systems. Collaborated with a dynamic team to innovate programming tools and experimental methodologies.
