A highly varied role, working for a local charity, with responsibilities including:

• Engaging with customers, helping them to find the products that they needed and handling any questions that they had
• Operating the cash tills, handling customer payments
• Continually restocking the store, ensuring that furniture etc. was laid out in an attractive manner (to better gain the customers' attention)
• Carrying out house clearances: visiting customers' premises, collecting their furniture, carrying it to the van and then ensuring that it was safely and securely stored
• Carrying out customer deliveries (typically for heavier items, such as wardrobes)
• Transporting furniture back to the warehouse, sorting collected items and ensuring that all waste was disposed of in the appropriate manner
• Ensuring that the warehouse was kept as a safe, tidy and efficient working environment

Picker-Packer - Funko - Maldon, Essex

Working for a major distributor of toys, with responsibilities including:

• Using a handheld electronic scanner to find out which goods needed to be "picked"
• Working with team members throughout the warehouse to access the required goods (e.g. when specialist machinery, such as fork-lift trucks, was required)
• "Picking" the required goods (scanning the QR codes to ensure that all actions were tracked and recorded) and then placing them on a pallet on a "pump truck"
• Preparing and attaching labels to record exactly what was on each pallet
