I went into marketing because it seemed like a sensible choice for a writer. It turned out to be a loophole. A cheat code. A life-hack. A way to play with words and still pretend you've got a "real job."
Creative marketing copywriting is just storytelling, world-building, and strong characterisation hidden in plain sight.
Think of it this way. If your business were a novel, your brand would be the main character. The hero. Your visual identity, that's the front cover. Your social media presence, the blurb that makes people want to read on.
But here’s the thing: a gorgeous front cover and snappy blurb might hook someone in, but the story itself is what convinces them to care.
