I have a good knowledge of RIO and IT skills. I also had experience engaging with families and carers, support, and involvement in care planning while maintaining confidentiality and respecting individual's wishes. This includes supporting parents to understand mental health conditions, medication where prescribed, and strategies to manage behaviour and emotional distress at home.
Safeguarding was a central aspect of my practice. I was actively involved in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns, attending professionals' meetings, contributing to reports, and following local safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users. In addition, I maintained accurate and timely clinical documentation, participated in clinical supervision, and contributed to service development initiatives.
I demonstrated strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to build therapeutic relationships with young people who may be distressed, disengaged, or mistrustful of services.
