Ben Collins

My name is Ben, I'm currently living in Cornwall and for as long as I can remember I've loved film. I've always been fascinated with how film is made and the art of storytelling. Since secondary and college, I have taken media studies to help me to learn how to create my own stories.

In 2019 I decided to go to university to study film, still not sure what I wanted to do with my life going forward, all I knew was I wanted to be in this industry. It was at university that I found my passion for sound, and from my second year, I chose to exclusively focus on sound. I learned many skills including ADR, Foley and dialogue mixing.

I even took an official Avid course to become certified in Pro Tools in May of 2022. Thanks to university I have also learned many other skills that I can take with me into my professional life, I am highly organised and proficient with meeting deadlines as well as extremely collaborative.

I have invested in my own home studio to continue my passion for sound, consisting of a high end Mac Pro, Shure SM7B microphone, Focusrite Scarlett Solo, and Avid Pro Tools software.

I graduated from Falmouth University in July 2022. I'm now ready to move on to the next part of my career continuing working in the audio post-production industry.
