Private Party-Cheets Fest at Torkington Road Stables (2022-09-03 – 2022-09-03)
My role at Cheets fest involved: setting up a complete stage of equipment I was unfamiliar with at 10Am, sound check for multiple bands between 2Pm and 3:30Pm, making sure the performances run smoothly between 4Pm and 2Am and packing everything up and away between 2Am and 3Am. I provided a satisfactory service for the performing bands including TV soap actor Tony Audenshaw.
Volunteer Stage Crew Member at Band on the wall (2022-05 – 2024-07)
My current roles at Band on the wall often consists of keeping an eye on all the performances from the side of the stage and fixing any issues and quickly and smoothly as possible, ensuring that the bands are gathered and ready for their entrances, setting up and taking down any equipment used. I get to know the staff and performers quite well and have made a few connections with people that enjoy working with me.
Sessional Music Technician at The Manchester College (2024-07 – Present)
My role at the Manchester college consists of working in the music office to supply and repair music equipment that the students use, provide access and maintain the cleanliness of numerous studios, live rooms and rehearsal rooms, plan out the specifications, transportation of equipment and backline set ups in and off site for performances and events. I also have safeguarding responsibilities in regards to the health and safety of students using the facilities. I hold myself to a high standard of work here as i understand that students work and capabilities rely on my work output to have a safe and resourceful working environment.
I would say that I am a well loved and respected member by the staff i work with day to day. I am on a 0 hours contract so i often have plenty of free time and control over my own work schedule.
