As the saying goes, if I could do it all again I’d have followed my heart. I would love to have been a teacher of younger years children. Being a gay man, I felt devestated at the time that I would never be a parent, thankfully times have changed and I’m the most incredibly proud of my adopted son who continues to impress me.
People often say how lucky he is, but its me that’s lucky. He suffers with certain conditions and despite his medical issues he continues to excel, it hasn’t been an easy path and I’ve often struggled. Thankfully I have a strong support network.
other than my son, I’m afraid I’m a sci-fi person and spend a lot of time reading and watching sci-fi. I also love to study languages, in many ways I believe the mind functions in a similar way.
The majority of my career has been in aviation. However now more than ever I feel ready for a change. I e proven myself to be a patient person who listens. I’m very good at conveying a message using sound, sight and touch.
My main role is to problem solve in a specific time frame whilst coinciding with other departments. It takes a multitude of qualities.
I have an adopted son who has physical disabilities and also tends to fall behind quite often. I’ve attended many courses on children’s behaviour and also volunteered at his school when he was young.
