Sports Trader

I have for the last few years worked extensively in the world of the sports betting markets in trading; how they work, predicting where they will go, where to hedge, and most importantly how to monetize and extract value from them. The job, whilst I loved it, had 2 drawbacks that took its toll after 4 years; one was that it became solely work from home, which I became disillusioned with as I think of myself as a 'people's person' and like to interact with others on a regular basis, and the other was there were few signs of progression. The job and world itself though I still adore and feel I can thrive at, so I look at new prospects as a way I can continue in the world of markets and trends, whilst eradicating my main 2 issues with that I had previously.
I have a very mathematical/methodical brain, whilst also love presenting, public speaking and trying to essentially impress others, creating a blend of personality traits that suit this role well!
-Worked successfully as a trader for a betting syndicate within the sports (but predominantly football) world, using a high-tech model to extract value in the betting markets, working to monetise for us various errors we could exploit. -Also coupled with a large research and analysis element of it to assist with the variables involved within compiling for a potential bet -The syndicate also acted a broker business which involved me risk assessing other clients’ profiles to deem if valuable for us -Extensive use of Excel, Spreadsheets, Python and SQL programmes -It involved high level maths, reading/understanding of markets, high risk judgment calls, great understanding of data analysis, teamwork and pressured environments. -From a trading perspective, managed to cover all bases, from research to risk assessing, and data input to execution, the 360 degree process helped me fall in love with and become a strong trader
