I am a mathematics graduate from Nottingham Trent University, with work experience in data entry, logistics, teaching, bookkeeping and administration.
I am a Mathematics graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, developed through both academic study and practical work experience. Throughout my degree, I gained hands-on experience working with data through modules such as data analysis, statistical modelling, and probability and statistical inference, using tools including Excel, SQL, RStudio, Minitab, and MATLAB to analyse datasets and identify trends.
Alongside my studies, I have worked in fast-paced logistics and warehouse environments where accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail were essential. In my current role as a Returns Processor, I regularly validate and process data within warehouse management systems, ensuring records are accurate and discrepancies are identified and resolved efficiently. These roles required me to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of precision.
I also have experience in teaching and client-facing roles, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain complex information clearly to a range of audiences. This combination of technical ability, analytical thinking, and professional experience has prepared me well for a graduate data analyst role where I can apply data-driven insights to real-world problems and continue developing my skills in a professional environment.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Nottingham Trent University, where I achieved a 2:1 overall. My degree placed a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, problem solving, and working with data. Key modules included Data Analysis, Statistical Modelling, and Probability and Statistical Inference, which developed my ability to analyse datasets, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Throughout my studies, I gained practical experience using analytical and statistical tools such as Excel, SQL, RStudio, Minitab, and MATLAB to manipulate data, test hypotheses, and identify trends. The course strengthened my numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and structured approach to solving complex problems.
