I am currently a full time student at Manchester Metropolitan University. I am looking for a temporary role in the administration/events/reception sectors to undertake in my academic break. I have multiple years of office, customer service and management experience.
At Interactive Investor, I was a workplace assistant for on office of 500 people. This required me to work at a fast pace and use my time management skills. I was responsible for all incoming and outgoing post from the Manchester office. I also maintained the offices standard of cleanliness. A large part of my role was dealing with staff queries, which required me to be confident in liaising with all departments and people in different roles, as well as being approachable. I also played a large party in the company admin, I kept track of all new starters and leavers, as well as visitors and any construction work happening within the office. I liaised with external contractors to carry out planned preventative maintenance.
I was employed by UKFast as an Events Assistant. During this role, I had the opportunity to advance my skills in various areas. I was responsible for the planning and organising of events alongside my team, as well as taking full control over my own events. My confidence levels grew as I was given more responsibilities. I gained more experience in areas such as time management and organisation. With travelling to London for Exhibitions, to hosting our company wide Christmas party, I gained a true, in-depth knowledge of how to plan and coordinate an event. I also progressed massively in the hospitality area. I was responsible for our auditorium space and bar. This involved ensuring the space was clean, and always prepared for the next event. Within this role, I saw my arrangement and preparation skills grow. I have developed excellent client facing skills through communication within the process of planning, and at the event itself.
I started at Aldi in February 2021 as a store assistant. My potential was quickly recognised by the store manager, and I was promoted to the position of Deputy Manager in December 2021. My responsibilities included opening and closing the store, organising, and assigning tasks within the team of staff, as well as cashing up.
Currently studying at University. I have an A Level in sociology, and 2 D* in Law, and Health and Social Care.
