I have been a qualified nurse since 2009, with extensive experience as a theatre practitioner before progressing to Team Leader of a small recovery unit, a role I held for seven years. In 2024, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control, further strengthening my clinical knowledge and commitment to delivering high standards of patient care.
Throughout my career, I have consistently aimed to go above and beyond in every role I undertake. I take pride in maintaining high standards and have successfully introduced a number of initiatives to improve both patient care and clinical standards within the hospital setting. One initiative I was particularly proud of was organising hand hygiene education days in local schools, which were extremely well received and helped promote awareness of infection prevention within the wider community.
Teaching and supporting others has always been an important part of my role. I believe in creating a positive and supportive learning environment for healthcare professionals, encouraging development, confidence, and best practice within the workplace.
I am passionate about continued professional development and lifelong learning. More recently, I have completed training in anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers, and I am due to complete a Level 3 Access to Aesthetics course with York College in June. I have also secured a place on a Level 4 Aesthetics course beginning in September 2026. These courses have further developed my interest in the aesthetics industry, and I am highly motivated to pursue a future career within this field.
