Level 3 Nursery practitioner - Busy Bees

During my time at Busy Bees Nursery, I gained extensive experience working primarily in the baby room with children aged 6 months to 2 years. My responsibilities included designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that supported each child's individual needs, as well as providing nutritious meals, preparing bottles, and ensuring children were comfortable and well cared for during sleep times. I organised and supervised outdoor trips to promote exploration and physical development.

I collaborated effectively with team members across various age groups, including toddlers and pre-school rooms, contributing to a cohesive and supportive environment. From 2022 to 2023, I attended my placement at this nursery learning valuable skills to enable me to progress onto a level 3 nursery practitioner, I then got employed and worked as a full-time nursery practitioner in 2024 where I dedicated myself to providing high-quality care for children aged 3 to 5 years. I took great pride in leading engaging learning activities that supported the children's development in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. My role involved assisting in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities tailored to each child's needs.

Building strong relationships with the children, their parents, and my colleagues was a vital part of my work, as it allowed me to support each child's individual learning journey and overall well-being effectively. During my placement at Safe and Sound Nursery from 2021 to 2022, I gained invaluable experience as a Nursery Assistant, where I was directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the nursery. I had the opportunity to provide educational support to children aged 6 months to 5 years, which was both rewarding and enlightening. I worked closely with the lead practitioners in activity planning, and I took special care to provide one-on-one support for children with additional needs, ensuring that every child felt included and supported.

I took great joy in preparing resources and activities that made learning engaging and fun through play, fostering creativity and curiosity in the children.
