I am a senior architect and computational designer with 7+ years of experience in international firms. I have worked on large scale projects throughout all phases of design with a particular focus on the development of parametric models for management and optimisation of complex facade and roof structures in later design stages.
I have worked, from 2017 to 2021, at Mario Cucinella Architects where I had the chance, in my early career, to be exposed to all design stages, from concept to construction, which gave me a broad overview on the architectural process in its complexity. Here, I strengthened my concept development abilities with a particular emphasis on the narrative and its link with the sustainability aspects, which is one of the office’s main focuses. Due to my background in computational design, I started applying and implementing that knowledge in the workflow, providing more tools for form exploration and geometrical control of the designs.
I currently work at Zaha Hadid Architects from 2021, where I had the chance to be responsable for the facade development of a 200m-tall office tower in Shenzhen, currently under construction. I have worked for over 2 years on the design optimisation of the external envelope, putting together a parametric model to assist the contractor for production and construction. The tool allowed us to test and assess different scenarios to preserve the original design intent while pushing the level of detail and complexity to construction stage, providing an exceptional level of control of the final result.
I have also worked on several concept schemes and explored the creative freedom and expressive architectural language embedded in the office culture providing inputs and design direction, actively participating to the project development.
I have studied at University of Naples and Technische Universitat Munchen and graduated with honors with a Master Thesis in Computational Design applied for the form finding and the digital fabrication of an acoustic timber shell for the passive amplification of outdoor chamber music.
