Billie Mooney

I consider myself to be a very enthusiastic individual, I am able to approach a situation calmy and take a level-headed approach. I am very reliable, trustworthy and punctual and these are different aspects of my personality that I am proud of.

I have been able to put into practice these personality traits throughout different opportunities and experiences in my life thus far. Through my academic career I have received awards including full attendance and was voted to be a part of the student council. When in university studying my Zoology Degree, I put many of these traits into practice and with hard work and determination I graduated with a 2:1.

Committing my life to animals and ensuring their safety, rights and welfare is a path that I will take proudly, as it has always been close to my heart from childhood. This gave me the push to write my dissertation on the research looking into the public perception of animal welfare within the pet trade industry, assisting in furthering my knowledge and filling some gaps within the literate, based on my own literature research and the data drawn from my own questionnaire responses collected from the public.
