I was an ICT teacher and instructor/ counsellor for more than a decade before relocating to UK. My exposure as a carer in the health sector in UK made me to fall In love with the work. Caring is a passionate job that I canno do without because life is a circle. Besides, it's like our daily life routin where you take care of people and keep your environment clean to stay healthy.
With my experience in teaching, I was exposed to different kind of people with different behaviour and health challenges such as the vulnerable and the ability to manage them was never a problem.
As a carer, I ensure the residents are settled each start of the day and retairing to bed at night. I assist them in all their personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting,oral care, making of beds, cleaning of the rooms and commode,and laundry and ironing of clothes etc.and the ones that are independent are supervised as well.
I also assist in the kitchen and serving of food, ensuring the kitchen is clean after each meal.
Reporting is done after each shift and proper hand over is made to the next staff.
Am a Healthcare Assistant at Gwendoline Nursing/ Residential Home.
I have worked in the company for 4months and still working with them.
Honestly, am really enjoying the work as it is like our daily life routine.

Presently, am an MSc student,studying Information Technology at the University Of The West Of England (UWE) and will be graduating in January 2024;
I also have MSc in Educational Technology at the University of Lagos,Nigeria.2020
BSc(Ed) in Computer Science at the Delta State University, Nigeria.
