I am a dedicated, hardworking, and reliable person and I feel that I have demonstrated these qualities in my current and previous positions. Apprentice Mechanic / Mechanic - GS Auto
(2011-01 - 2017-12)
The first position that I held was at a vehicle repair shop, my job role started as an apprentice mechanic which then led to a full-time job after completing my degree in mechanics. In this position I learnt how to do vehicle repairs such as car servicing, changing brakes and tyres, fitting new clutches, timing belts, and changing suspension parts. Within this role I had to show skills such as teamwork, time management, communication and more.
These were vital as I was working with other mechanics who were helping to train me, I had to perform tasks within a certain time, and I had to be able to deal with a heavy workload. I believe this role helped me gain valuable skill that I would like to further.
Driver's Assistant - John Lewis
(2017-01 - 2022-12)
I also worked as a Driver's Assistant for John Lewis. This role mainly consists of, helping with deliveries which can involve; heavy lifting, making sure that we meet deadlines, being polite and friendly, following complaint handling procedures and reporting back to managers. This role is customer based therefore I believe I have learnt a lot of skills that help build a customer's experience with the company.
This demonstrates that I can communicate with customers in a professional way, be reliable and able to liaise with higher level of management, which helps with overall running of the department.
Delivery Driver - Matthew Clark
(2022-01 - 2023-12)
Matthew Clark which includes delivering alcohol and soft drink to pub, restaurants and clubs. This includes carrying large item and carrying them to the storerooms or basements. I also collect kegs and barrels for them to be disposed of. I have further my skill with helping customers and communicating with my mangers, which allows me to meet potential future customers and long-term customers.
Delivery Driver / Assembler - Dreams
(2023-12)
I currently working at dreams which includes delivering mattresses, beds, wardrobes and building them for customer. I also have to make phone call to inform customers that we are due to delivery and experience face to face with customers. This job has allowed me to gain new skills and knowledge about the customer service industry, which will help me in my next job role.
