I am a dedicated and adaptable Foundation Year 3 doctor who is currently undertaking opportunistic locum shifts at Whiston Hospital. Throughout my foundation training in this busy district general hospital, I have developed strong skills in independent medical practice, frequently managing patients autonomously and undertaking my own ward rounds from as early as Foundation Year 1. I feel my foundation years enhanced my clinical decision-making, acute patient management, and procedural skills.
I have developed competence in clerking, formulating management plans, and liaising effectively with multidisciplinary teams. I am confident in appropriate escalation and prioritisation of unwell patients, and I am committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care and contributing positively to ward efficiency and patient outcomes. I hope to develop these skills further as I apply for core anaesthetics training.
