Guest Concierge / Customer Service at COVID Hotel Double Tree by Hilton (2021-04 – 2022-03)

I worked as part of a small team, consisting of myself, kitchen staff and the front desk. I was responsible for ensuring that our 250 quarantining guests had a safe and comfortable stay. For about 2-3 months I was working alone with just my manager and our chef. This was due to the lack of staff available therefore, I was doing early morning shifts, afternoon shifts and evening shifts.

• Be the guest's primary point of contact for any of their needs or concerns.
• Ensure COVID health and safety protocols are being upheld.
• To take guests meal orders, prepare the meal packs and deliver the same to the guests.
• Collect all rubbish at the end of the evening following all the safety protocols.
• Welcome and settle in all new arrivals.

Server / Kitchen Assistant / Customer Service at The Poachers Gastropub (2022-04 – 2023-02)

The COVID Hotel was taken over by another company who turned it into a Hotel for Asylum seekers. However, my role with Customer Service did not really change. I was a waiter in the pub / restaurant and also worked as a kitchen assistant when required.

During my shifts, if my boss was not at work it would be my responsibility to ensure the standards are kept to a high standard and that I was the first point of contact to customers if they had any questions or complaints. Not only that, I was given the role to make sure the establishment was kept clean and tidy therefore, I was able to assign people roles and make sure we kept to a fast and efficient pace during opening hours. I was given this role as I had proven myself to my boss during my time at the Covid Hotel next door.

• Ensure all customers left the pub satisfied.
• Keeping the pub nice and clean, meaning picking up any rubbish, taking the glasses and plates to the kitchen and making sure the toilets were kept clean.
• Serve meals and drinks to the customers table.
• Interact with customers and make them feel welcome.
• Once the pub was closed, It was my responsibility to give people certain tasks to complete ready for the pub to be open in the morning.

Childminding Assistant at Family childminding business (2023-04 – 2025-01)

I help with the family childminding business caring for children aged between 8mth – 7 years olds.

• Make sure all the kids are happy and enjoying their time.
• If instructed by their parents that a certain child needs to be fed or put to bed by a certain time, I must complete that instruction.
• Make sure all the kids are well fed and watered.
• Complete daily activities such as, colouring, sticking, painting, and many more activities that kids love to do.
• If there are any tears, it is my job to calm them down and get them back to smiling and playing.

Delivery Driver (Self-Employed) at Yodel (2025-01 – 2025-09)

I helped in ensuring people's parcels were delivered to them on time and as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

• Ensure I stuck within my time slots for the parcels to be delivered.
• I made sure I handled every parcel with care and treated it like my own parcel.
• I made sure I communicated effectively with customers and any problems or concerns, I pointed them in the right direction for that support.
