Primary School Physical Education Teacher - City of London Primary Academy Islington - London, UK

Over six weeks, I went to the school to undertake my placement teaching lessons for just a couple of hours a week, teaching physical education to primary school children in years 3–5. Due to the calendar, I was teaching the group how to play football. I was required to get a placement in a primary school as part of my teaching course, which is through TeachSport – Level 3 Diploma in Delivering Physical Activity and Sport within the School Environment.
I was able to gain this placement through my work with the GLL, which I work for and do regular work with schools in the local community. I am currently waiting for the teaching qualification to be processed.

I work for Tottenham Hotspur as part of the accessibility team at the club on event days. This role requires me to aid and support the needs and requirements of anyone requiring accessibility support, as well as the general public. It is a role I enjoy, and I look forward to continuing my work with the club and the supporters. I have a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Spectator Safety, and I am first aid qualified.
Sports Coach - GLL – Better - Islington, London

Over the last two years, I have worked for GLL, coaching and refereeing events within the Islington area. GLL, or better known as Better, does fantastic work with local schools, providing access and opportunities for children and young people to be active and participate in sport. I have completed a six-week work placement in a school to gain a teaching qualification, working with the GLL. I have worked on several events as a coach and referee with young people through the GLL.

I have supervised events which have required me to speak to a different range of people for example the site manager, the client as well as different departments within the confines of Alexandra Palace when iv supervised shifts which require me to relay key information vital to running an event smoothly. As well as supervising on occasions I am a traffic Marshall, which requires me to have an absolute knowledge of the site. Due to the nature of my job I am asked constant questions about everything from the local area to food and parking quires.
I regularly have to open and unlock gates in my role with the venue.

On each shift my focus is on the important task of replenishing stock, as well as code checking across our produce, fresh foods and dry goods as well as assisting customers in any way possible. I work as apart of a close-knit, dedicated team, and use my initiative on challenging tasks and do the best job possible. I originally applied for a manager's role but was told due to my lack of experience that I would have to start as a colleague and work my way up.
This is something I intended to do, however after a few months in the role it was clear that the opportunity wasn't going to be given to me so I left the company.

Unfortunately due to ill health i was unable to carry on in my role.
