Designer and Studio Manager - Designhouz 33 Kitchen & Interiors

I am currently a designer and studio manager. I meet and greet all clients; I attend their home to obtain a survey and design brief and use Compusoft design package to complete their dream design. I then go through the order processing and organise the installation and various other trades to complete the works. I also deal with all incoming and outgoing invoicing for the business.

Legal Secretary and Receptionist - Thompsons Solicitors Newtownards - Newtownards

This was a full-time permanent position as a legal secretary and receptionist. My duties included the following:

• Answering all telephone calls, meeting and greeting clients, audio typing, taking post and DX
• Handle the conveyancing files from pre-completion to post-completion e.g. applying for property certificates and searches, corresponding with other side solicitors requesting and sending required documents, liaising with banks and building societies, completing stamp duty forms and applying for registration in both Registry of Deeds and Land Registry

I started this job in a receptionist position and have worked my way up to a legal secretary position working in both conveyancing and all other aspects of law.

• Greeting clients, operating switchboard, a large number of dictations, arranging appointments and any other general office duties
• Opening new files and taking care of them by dealing with clients/ meeting them and writing out to them with updates up until completion of the file
• Attend court with barristers and or one of our solicitors to take minutes and sit in on consultations between clients

This was part of a work experience scheme with school. My main duties involved supporting the classroom teacher in all aspects of school life, both inside the classroom and in outside recreation. I was also required to help and assist in lesson preparation.
