After 12 years working closely with children and young people at an 'Outstanding' school, I have developed a variety of essential soft and hard skills. I possess excellent attention to detail and awareness of what young people require to feel safe and supported. Working with several children from various and disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK has only strengthened my passion and enthusiasm to support and improve the lives of others.

I have been consistently successful in providing quality support to young people and their families, instigating positive outcomes for all. In my role, it is imperative to build positive relationships based on firm but fair boundaries and consistency to build trust. As a result, help to make the best decisions for their future.

I believe I am a well-motivated and dependable individual with a strong work ethic who can make quick and sound decisions which is essential in my day-to-day role. In addition to my excellent communication and time-management skills, I feel I would be a great asset within a similar type of position as I thrive in a fast-paced environment. By managing and challenging my team of three, I have acquired the necessary skills to work and motivate others as well as working independently to achieve success.

At present I work for the East of England Ambulance Service, this involves restocking and checking all of the medical equipment as well as deep cleaning the ambulances before the paramedics are deployed for their next shifts.

Volunteering - Local charity

During this time, I volunteered for a local charity, working alongside homeless and vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain their basic needs and maintaining their own homes and other support areas. During this time, we addressed a range of challenges including physical and mental health, substance misuse and financial troubles, all of which may affect their ability to manage themselves independently. I also worked independently with rough sleepers and individuals in temporary accommodation or those seeking accommodation.

Again, helping to support them with their drug, alcohol and any other addictions they may have, offering them appointments with relevant counsellors.

A Recreation Assistant is responsible for the cleaning, preparation and general safety of areas in a sports and recreation facility. In 'wet-side' facilities they will have a key responsibility for the safety of customers in the swimming pool and its surrounding areas. In 'dry-side' facilities there may be a greater emphasis on the setting up, taking down and storage of equipment.
