Callum Kirwan

My name is Callum. I've just completed my final year at Elstree Screen Arts. I studied production arts, specialising in lighting and sound.

I have a passion for the production arts and the challenges it brings. I am looking for a role within this exciting industry and an opportunity to gain knowledge and experience.

As you can see from the details below, I have achieved a lot in a short space of time, by volunteering and putting myself forward for various roles to add to my skill set.

Up till now I have had experience with 3 lighting desks, and I am confident working with the ETC and AVO lighting desks. I have a working knowledge on GrandMA. I am willing to learn more about other hardware and programs.

Professional experience include

• Observe set up of the preshow and shadow the lighting operator for Jack Whitehall at the O2. 
• Recently I have set up and assisted with supplying additional sound to Shaftesbury theatre for a musical production. This included, setting up and testing radio mics and working on the sound desk. 
• Gained work experience rigging and helping with lighting for a concert at Purcell music school in Watford over a three-day period.
• Helped program the lighting. Then operated the desk on the night for Jason Manford at Gordon craig theatre. 
•  Moulin Rouge on west end – shadowed stage LX plot for matinee show and ran the stage LX plot for evening show. – now completing causal work with them
