As a Family Support Worker, I play a vital role in empowering children, young people, and their families to overcome challenges and build stability at home and in the community. My role is around providing practical, emotional and restorative early‑intervention support tailored to each family's unique circumstances. This often includes helping parents develop positive routines, strengthening parenting skills, improving school attendance, promoting children's wellbeing, and connecting families with essential services to ensure they receive the most appropriate support.
I aim to build trusting, impartial relationships, carry out assessments, create Our Family plans, and work collaboratively with internal and external agencies to ensure families receive coordinated, holistic support. At its heart, my role is about empowering families to develop resilience, confidence, and the tools they need to create safe, nurturing, and sustainable home environments.

My role was predominantly within the Early Years department and aimed at supporting young children's learning through play‑based activities, helping create a safe and nurturing classroom environment, and working closely with the education professionals to promote children's social, emotional, and developmental progress.
