Currently assistant manager of a Barnardo's retail store in Clarkston, having previously volunteered twice a week for this charity. My role involves opening the shop, training and delegating tasks for volunteers, stock taking, quality assurance, and performing a cash up at the end of the day. I use organisational skills by scanning the shop and prioritising a list of tasks which need to be carried out each day.
I am well mannered and have a good rapport with both volunteers and our customers. I am a supportive leader who ensures volunteers are fully trained and I give clear guidance in their roles. This position has allowed me to gain a good understanding of retail.
A year ago I completed a HND course at City of Glasgow College in Fitness, Health and Exercise and I'm now a CIMSPA recognised Personal Trainer Practitioner. Previously, I gained extensive work experience in supporting children as part of the Active Schools in Glasgow.

My job working as a venue assistant was a good experience especially in high school. I left after a year, to focus on my first year of college essentially taking a gap year from work. I managed to find roles in volunteering such as a volunteer for HDROX 2024 in Glasgow and running my own part time sales on eBay.

I was an assistant coach helping children (aged 3-5) to do training activities at Weir's Tennis Club (now Langside Sports Club). This gave me experience of working with children in a sports environment where I enjoyed the responsibility and interaction.

I also volunteered at Newlands Parish Church. This involved helping with disabled scouts, it gave me the experience to work closely with people, giving me a good opportunity for me to give back to my community in a helpful and supportive way.
